This website contains an archive of files for the Acorn Electron, BBC Micro, Acorn Archimedes, Commodore 16 and Commodore 64 computers, which Dominic Ford has rescued from his private collection of floppy disks and cassettes.
Some of these files were originally commercial releases in the 1980s and 1990s, but they are now widely available online. I assume that copyright over them is no longer being asserted. If you own the copyright and would like files to be removed, please contact me.

Help file for !SprayCan
This little application can be used to display spray
files (&044). The filetype is one which remembers where
the mouse has been and so gives an animated
representation of what the artist actually did when he
created the picture. Although this is very memory hungry
it often uses less disc space than the alternative 160k
which would be needed to store the final mode 15 screen.
It also holds more information (I guess!). The program
should be fairly self-explanatory, but here's a run down
of it's operations:
Double-Click or drag a file to the iconbar to load it.
SELECT on the SprayCan icon will spray the picture.
ADJUST on the SprayCan icon opens the file infrormation
window. This is automatically displayed when a file is
loaded.
MENU on the SprayCan icon shows the SprayCan menu. This
has the following entries:-
Info �: Move to the right to display program
information.
Picture : Click on this to open the File information
window (same as adjust on the SprayCan
icon).
Save �: Move to the right to save the current
screen as a sprite file.
Reset : Resets the currently loaded file so that
it starts from the beginning again.
Quit : Quits the program.
MENU inside the file information window brings up the
same menu, which does the same operations, except
'Picture' is greyed out, since you've just clicked menu
inside the File Information window, so there would be
little point in you selecting it.
Well, that's about everything. This program is released
under the Acorn User PD scheme, and may not be copied
until 16 September, when it becomes public domain.
