This website contains an archive of files for the Acorn Electron, BBC Micro, Acorn Archimedes, Commodore 16 and Commodore 64 computers, which Dominic Ford has rescued from his private collection of floppy disks and cassettes.
Some of these files were originally commercial releases in the 1980s and 1990s, but they are now widely available online. I assume that copyright over them is no longer being asserted. If you own the copyright and would like files to be removed, please contact me.

TEXT TOOL

This tool allows you to put writing onto your picture.
Before selecting this tool, you can choose which font to use by
clicking on the 'FONT' option. (You don't have to do this.)
When you click on this tool a box will appear on the Menu screen
and you will be asked to type in the text you want. You can type
up to 76 characters, BUT DON'T USE ANY COMMAS (,)!
When you've typed your text, press RETURN to go to the Painting
screen.
When the text is positioned where you want it, click (press and
release) the left mouse button.
Use the DELETE key to get rid of the writing.
(This must be done BEFORE you return to the Menu screen.)
