CREATING REHEARSAL MARKS
� Choose Symbol�Rehearsal mark�Normal, or type
Ctrl-R
� Point the copying pointer at a barline and
click Adjust.
As you add further rehearsal marks, Sibelius
always keeps them lettered or numbered in
sequence.
Rehearsal marks can be copied in the normal
way by clicking Adjust.
DRAGGING REHEARSAL MARKS
Rehearsal marks drag vertically just like text
in the Tempo styles: if there are is a dupli-
cate rehearsal mark in the middle of the
system, dragging the upper mark drags both
simultaneously. However, if you drag the lower
one it moves independently of the upper one.
Rehearsal marks can also be dragged left and
right to hop them from bar to bar.
DELETING REHEARSAL MARKS
As with text in the Tempo styles, deleting the
upper rehearsal mark of a pair deletes both,
whereas the lower one can be deleted on its
own.
Once the lower one is deleted, you can get it
back by deleting the upper one too and putting
a new rehearsal mark down in its place.
FORMAT
You can choose the format in which all rehear-
sal marks appear from the House style�
Rehearsal marks menu. The choice is:
� A B C... Z AA BB...
� A B C... Z A1 B1...
� 1 2 3 4...
� Display in a large box the bar number the
mark is at, e.g. 7 19 31 37...
The format changes for all existing rehearsal
marks, so after changing to the third format
the sequence Y Z AA BB would become 25 26 27
28.
You can change which mark appears first by
typing it into the First rehearsal mark box.
