This website contains an archive of files for the Acorn Electron, BBC Micro, Acorn Archimedes, Commodore 16 and Commodore 64 computers, which Dominic Ford has rescued from his private collection of floppy disks and cassettes.
Some of these files were originally commercial releases in the 1980s and 1990s, but they are now widely available online. I assume that copyright over them is no longer being asserted. If you own the copyright and would like files to be removed, please contact me.

Animator By Robin Barnes Animator is a multi-tasking application to display Movie file animations (as produced by Convert) in a window on the desktop. Double-click on the application to load it onto the iconbar. To display a Movie file, double-click on the file, or drag it to the Animator icon; the animation will then appear in a window. Note that if the animation uses 256-colour sprites (as it will if produced by Morph), then you should switch to a 256-colour mode for the best display. Clicking Menu over the window or the iconbar brings up the Animation menu, which contains the following entries. 'Single task': Animations are much smoother when they can claim all the processor time. This can be achieved by choosing this option; clicking any mouse button returns to the desktop. 'Pause' pauses the animation; choose the option again to resume animation. 'Clear' removes the current animation. 'Quit' terminates Animator.
