This website contains an archive of files for the Acorn Electron, BBC Micro, Acorn Archimedes, Commodore 16 and Commodore 64 computers, which Dominic Ford has rescued from his private collection of floppy disks and cassettes.
Some of these files were originally commercial releases in the 1980s and 1990s, but they are now widely available online. I assume that copyright over them is no longer being asserted. If you own the copyright and would like files to be removed, please contact me.

Double clicking on the !ArcFSInfo application will cause the ArcFSInfo icon
to appear on the right hand side of the icon bar. The following can be
dragged to this icon:
(1) An archive.
(2) A selection of archives from a directory.
(3) An object from an ArcFS directory.
(4) A selection of objects from an ArcFS directory.
A window will appear containing the following information:
The white box at the top of the window contains the pathname of the object.
Case (1) - This will be the root directory of the archive (i.e.
'arcfs#<name>:$').
Case (2) - It will be 'arcfs#<many>:$', i.e. the root directories of many
archives.
Case (3) - This will be the full ArcFS pathname (i.e. 'arcfs#<name>:$....')
of the object.
Case (4) - The Risc-OS 3 convention of using '.<many>' to represent many
objects in a directory is used.
The next box contains either:
Case (1) - 'Archive'
Case (2) - 'Selection' followed by the number of archives*
Case (3) - Filetype, 'Directory', 'Application' or 'Untyped'
Case (4) - 'Selection' followed by the number of objects*
The next box contains the compression type where a single file has been
dragged to the icon.
The next three boxes give the full size, compressed size and compressed size
as a percentage of the full size respectively.
Where a selection of files have been dragged to the icon, the sizes given
are the total sizes of the selection.
Where archive(s) or directory(s) have been dragged to the icon the sizes are
a total of the contents of the archive(s) or directory(s).
N.B. The sizes only account for file data. Archives will usually be a few
KBytes longer than the total size of the compressed data they contain.
The access rights follow next for cases (1) and (3).
Below the access rights will usually be a datestamp for cases (1) and (3),
unless an untyped file has been dragged to the icon, in which case a box
will show two hexadecimal addresses, the file's load and execution
addresses respectively.
Finally, the pathname of the archive (cases (1),(3) and (4)) is shown.
In case (2) the Risc-OS 3 convention of, for example
'adfs::Spare1.$.Archives.<many>' is used.
* The number of objects shown following 'Selection' in the 'Type' box is the
actual number dragged to the icon. For example, if you drag 2 directories to
the icon, the 'Type' box will read 'Selection (2)', regardless of the number
