WANTED - Datalogic RGB colour monitor, mine caught fire and I could not
find anybody who could undertake to repair it. In the mean time I have
brought a Microvitic Cub monitor, BBC B, Z80 second processor and a 40t
disc drive for `40 at a local boot fair. Can anybody shed light on how to
get a better image in mode 3. I have adjusted the focus, brightness and
contrast to obtain the best compromise, ie. no colour fringing but it is
no match to the deceased Datalogic monitor.
WANTED - ADFS rom which will work with PRES AP4 DFS, or an AP34 which is
both DFS & ADFS. I have tried the ADFS rom from my BEEB in the Electron but
it crashes. Can anybody tell me if a PLUS 3 will work in combination with
the AP4, I have been tring for ages to get hold of a PLUS 3, to no avail,
to try myself.
WANTED - View cartridge. Mine keeps on crashing my elk, it works ok
without the cartridge plugged into the plus 1, most peculiar.

THE MICROVITIC CUB WAS PRETTY POOR IN MODE3 BECAUSE IT WAS DESIGNED WITH
GRAPHICS IN MIND. IF YOU CAN'T FIND THE MONITOR YOU ARE LOOKING FOR MAY I
SUGGEST THAT YOU LOOK FOR ONE OF THOSE GREEN SCREEN MONITORS WHICH ARE
EXCELLENT IN MODE 3 WITH TEXT. THE KIND I MEAN ARE THE ONES WHICH HAD A
PHONO SOCKET INPUT. THESE CAN OFTEN BE FOUND QUITE CHEAPLY. IF YOU HAVE
PROBLEMS CONTACT ME.
YOUR VIEW CARTRIDGE MAY HAVE DEVELOPED A FAULT BUT CAN I SUGGEST THAT YOU
TRY CLEANING THE CONTACTS ON THE CARTRIDGE WITH A INK ERASER. ALSO MAKE
SURE THAT THE SPRING CONTACT IN YOUR PLUS ONE ARE NOT TOO WORN. PROBLEM
REPLACING THESE THOUGH, BEST TO TRY THE OTHER SLOT.
