This website contains an archive of files for the Acorn Electron, BBC Micro, Acorn Archimedes, Commodore 16 and Commodore 64 computers, which Dominic Ford has rescued from his private collection of floppy disks and cassettes.

Some of these files were originally commercial releases in the 1980s and 1990s, but they are now widely available online. I assume that copyright over them is no longer being asserted. If you own the copyright and would like files to be removed, please contact me.

This application may be freely distributed so long as no charge WHATSOEVER is
made for the application. It may not be distributed as part of a commercial
application or as part of a Public Domain disc for which more than �5 is
charged without the prior written permission of the CSG Department, Acorn
Computers Ltd.

This application takes Filer URLs and execute them. Two URLs are supported:
Filer_OpenDir and Filer_Run. The syntax is:

filer_opendir://FS::DiscName/Extra/Path/;information for mounting disc

and

filer_run://FS::DiscName/Extra/Path/Filename;information for mounting disc

where the extra information is of a form:

DiscName=user:passwd:authenticationhost@host/mount/path

This version of !FilerURLs supports the following soft-mountable filing
systems:

 * NFS
 * NetFS

Further filing systems will probably be added in due course. If you have a
requirement for a particular filing system to be supported, please contact
the author.

It should be realised that the support for certain filing systems is only a
limitation on FilerURLs being able to mount the appropriate disc itself. All
"unsupported" filing systems can be utilised so long as the disc specified is
available at the time of choosing the URL.

If you want to make changes to the application, please do NOT distribute a
modified version of the application. Instead, please feed your changes back
to the author (see below) so that these changes can be incorporated into the
master copy.
