Shanghai - Rules
 Playing the game:-
  Shanghai is a patience game played using 144 Mah-jongg tiles,
  arranged in five layers to form a pyramid.  The object of the
  game is to clear the board by removing the tiles in matching
  pairs.  Tiles may only be removed from the ends of the rows,
  provided that they are not covered by another tile.  There is
  one tile for each of the four flowers and any two of them may
  be removed as a pair; similarly for the four seasons.  There
  are four each of all the other tiles and they must be removed
  in identical pairs.  See 'The tiles:-' chart below.
 Using the mouse:-
  Select the first tile of a pair by positioning the pointer on
  the tile and clicking <select>.  The tile will be hilighted if
  the selection is valid, otherwise a beep will sound.  The tile
  can be deselected by clicking <select> again with the pointer
  over the tile, or by clicking <adjust> with the pointer placed
  anywhere over the game window.  Select the second tile in the
  same way as the first.  Both the tiles will be removed if the
  selection is valid, otherwise a beep will sound.  Display the
  menu by clicking <menu> with the pointer placed anywhere over
  the game window.
  New game - Sets the board to a new random starting position.
  Replay - Opens a replay dialogue box.  Clicking on the arrows
    will step back, or forward, through the game moves.  Holding
    down the mouse button will scroll through the moves in rapid
    succession.  The move number is shown in the box between the
    arrows.  Clicking on start will reset the game to the start
    position.  Clicking on this resets the game to the position
    shown on screen.  Clicking on last will allow the game to be
    continued from the last move made before selecting Replay.
  Show moves - Clicking <select> on this option will hilight the
    first matching set of valid tiles that the program can find.
    Each matching set of valid tiles can be displayed in turn by
    repeatedly clicking <adjust> over this option.  When no more
    tiles can be removed this option will not be selectable and
    will be 'greyed out'; the game is over.
  Status - Displays the number of tiles remaining and the number
    of moves possible.
  Rules - Displays these rules and information.
  Save - Opens a standard WIMP save dialogue box.  Refer to the
    Archimedes User Guide for details of how to use it.
