P/SORRY1

This website contains an archive of files for the Acorn Electron, BBC Micro, Acorn Archimedes, Commodore 16 and Commodore 64 computers, which Dominic Ford has rescued from his private collection of floppy disks and cassettes.

Some of these files were originally commercial releases in the 1980s and 1990s, but they are now widely available online. I assume that copyright over them is no longer being asserted. If you own the copyright and would like files to be removed, please contact me.

Dear All,
         Appologies come in the
following ways for my submissions for
the last EUG:

1.On looking at the original disk and
the EUG disk I see I forgot to send
the menu program for my EPROM
emulator article.Only the clever
clogs amongst you will have been able
to view it all.To copy across the
BASIC program I have included on this
month's disk (EMUMENU) to last
month's side one just RUN on this one
- it will guide you through.Sorry.

2.Still haven't got this 40 column
text set up - the text I sent appears
OK on in an 80 column MODE but for
me,sitting over a metre from the
screen,40 column is better.It still
appeared higgldy piggldy.This month
I'm trying a differnt WordProcessor.

3.Text was written in MODE 7.This has
a half and quarter symbol build in,so
my refernces to 5.25" disk drive
appeared strangely - but I'm sure you
got the gist.

4.The comment on the REMs file for
use with EDIT (MODE 0 editor that I
sent two issues back) that appeared
in last month's disk got garbled. All
I meant was that it was on that
disk.Third time lucky.

5.I said that the Electron has
doesn't have a MODE 0.On reflection
this was a bit of a daft comment as I
remember playing Hopper on my
Electron in MODE 5 which is a 20k
screen mode,like MODE 0.Also a
program I submitted in th previous
issue was used for editing MODE 0
screens.Sorry.

I hope that this months stuff
from me arrives in English...don't
YOU forget to send something in too!

                    Robert Sprowson.

THE MENU PROGRAM AND THE ACCOMPANYING CODE WERE WRITTEN BY AND
UPDATED BY RICHARD DIMOND. IT REALLY HAS IMPROVED WITH TIME BUT SOME
PROBLEMS STILL DO OCCUR. AS THE SAY ...MIRACLES TAKE A LITTLE LONGER.
HOPEFULLY YOU WILL BE ABLE TO IGNORE THE FEW PROBLEMS.

THE CONFUSION WITH YOUR USE OF MODE 7 CHARACTERS WILL BE OF LITTLE PROBLEM
TO EUG MEMBERS SINCE THEY ARE USE TO ME. I REMEMBER THE CHARACTERS WELL
BUT I DIDN'T ALTER THEM AS I FELT THAT IT WAS CLEAR ENOUGH WHAT YOU MEANT.
