This website contains an archive of files for the Acorn Electron, BBC Micro, Acorn Archimedes, Commodore 16 and Commodore 64 computers, which Dominic Ford has rescued from his private collection of floppy disks and cassettes.
Some of these files were originally commercial releases in the 1980s and 1990s, but they are now widely available online. I assume that copyright over them is no longer being asserted. If you own the copyright and would like files to be removed, please contact me.

Help file for !Gremlin � Alexander J. Seeley, 1994 v1.00 (24-Apr-94) A desktop silly. Not dangerous. To quit, press CTRL-SHIFT-PRINT, or use the Task Manager. You may distribute this program freely. Gremlin is one of those really short, really useless applications, which I just felt like writing. When loaded (it is user-transparent), pressing CTRL-PRINT while the pointer is over (almost) ANY icon will place the caret in that icon. There's no good reason for doing this, but you can customise your desktop in crazy ways with it. Try changing all the contents of your info- boxes, for instance. Of course none of it is permanent, and next time you load the app, everything will be restored. I make no guarantee as to the fitness of this program for any particular use. If you find that your Arc (or is it a RISC PC??) starts singing happy birthday to you, it's not my fault, OK? You may distribute this program, unaltered, with !Help, !Run, !RunImage, !Sprites and Templates intact, to anyone crazy enough to want it. You may borrow any of the code. If you take the whole program and alter it (breaking the rule above), please ensure that you credit me in the new help file.
