THE LAST NINJA - Acorn Computing Demo Version

The secrets of the Ninjitsu way had been jealously guarded for centuries.
Only once every decade were the scrolls seen at the ritual of the White
Ninja. None coveted these secrets more than the evil Shogun. Seizing the
opportunity of the ritual, he sprang a fiendish trap that destroyed the
brotherhood, except for one...you, the Last Ninja.
Your sworn oath is to recover the scrolls. You travel to the mystical lands
of the Shogun. Already his guards are mastering the ways of the Ninjitsu.
You must use swords, nunchakas, smoke bombs, staffs and shirakens, and solve
many devious puzzles as you battle through six increasingly fiendish levels.
This special Acorn Computing demo version contains Level 1 - WILDERNESS. In
this level you learn the various fighting and defensive moves, and collect
some of the weapons and other objects which you will require later in the
game. (Hint - When fighting, keep the Return key pressed whilst operating
the four 'movement' keys. This will give the attacking and defensive moves
without the Ninja turning round.) The major hazard at the end of the level
is the fire-breathing dragon - you must work out how to smoke it out!
Once you have solved Level 1, then in the complete game you would move on
to five further levels:
Level 2 - WASTELANDS, dominated by the Lin Fen mountain range;
Level 3 - PALACE GARDENS, a maze with waterfalls and many ferocious guards;
Level 4 - DUNGEONS, a place of nightmares, deadly spikes and a giant spider;
Level 5 - PALACE LOW LEVEL, Ninja magic overcomes the nail-throwing statue;
Level 6 - INNER SANCTUM, with great sights in the Shogun's private rooms as
you attempt to defeat the final opponent and find the scrolls.
