This website contains an archive of files for the Acorn Electron, BBC Micro, Acorn Archimedes, Commodore 16 and Commodore 64 computers, which Dominic Ford has rescued from his private collection of floppy disks and cassettes.
Some of these files were originally commercial releases in the 1980s and 1990s, but they are now widely available online. I assume that copyright over them is no longer being asserted. If you own the copyright and would like files to be removed, please contact me.

� !Help for !TurboROMs Version 1.10 � � by Dave Thomas � 1991 � � Usage � !TurboROMs is a utility which will increase the ROM access time from 4MHz to 8MHz. This eliminates the need for *RMFaster. Most fairly ROM-reliant apps will show about 25% speed gain. BEWARE this utility will NOT work on an A540 (if you have an A540 you don't really need this anyway your machine is so fast). When the app is loaded it does not increase the speed straight away it waits for you to open it's main window and click on the 8MHz button. The buttons control the ROM speed. The app is packaged like this to facilitate for comparison of ROM speeds. � Copyright � Two other applications are used in this utility they are !ReadMe (!Help) & Interface.
