This website contains an archive of files for the Acorn Electron, BBC Micro, Acorn Archimedes, Commodore 16 and Commodore 64 computers, which Dominic Ford has rescued from his private collection of floppy disks and cassettes.
Some of these files were originally commercial releases in the 1980s and 1990s, but they are now widely available online. I assume that copyright over them is no longer being asserted. If you own the copyright and would like files to be removed, please contact me.

!Help for KnitConv

A companion program for !Easyknit, KnitConv allows you to manipulate the contents
of EasyKnit files as produced by !Easyknit.
Using KnitConv you can create 4-colour Jacquard patterns easily by
designing a repeating pattern block in EasyKnit then processing the file into
a jacquard pattern in KnitConv.
Standard, Elongated or Jigsaw methods of conversion to Jacquard are available.
KnitConv can also replicate the contents of EasyKnit's EDIT window as a sprite
for use in DTP.
Or you can reduce the file size of Grid & Picture EasyKnit files by removing the
Picture file after the stitch grid has been filled in and the Picture is no longer
required.
KnitConv supports the use of the !Help application.
HOW TO MAKE !KNITCONV WORK
==========================
Load !KnitConv onto the iconbar and click on the icon bar icon
to open the 'KnitConv' window.
Click on the menu button in the window and SELECT which Process to perform
Having choosen your processing options, drag in the file you want to process.
give the file in the Save Area a suitable name then drag the icon to a
directory window.
The processing is done and the new file appears in the window
with the name you've given it.
