This website contains an archive of files for the Acorn Electron, BBC Micro, Acorn Archimedes, Commodore 16 and Commodore 64 computers, which Dominic Ford has rescued from his private collection of floppy disks and cassettes.
Some of these files were originally commercial releases in the 1980s and 1990s, but they are now widely available online. I assume that copyright over them is no longer being asserted. If you own the copyright and would like files to be removed, please contact me.

Installing new sprite sets ========================== Firstly, you will find that you will have had to extract everything from the archive first. Otherwise you may get "ArcFS cannot claim enough workspace" errors or similar. Secondly, double-click on !RunMe1st. This will set up a special variable for all the !Install applications to call so they know what to run in order to install the sprite sets. To install a particular set, make sure that you have already run your main ArcWeb installation first (so that these installer programs know where to copy the new graphics file to - the installers will object if you don't) and then double-click on the !Install obey files in the subdirectory containing the sprite set you want to use. That's it! If you design new sprite sets (you must include all 60 icons), then send them to me by e-mail and I may include them in future versions (at my choice). -- Stewart Brodie August 12th, 1997
