This website contains an archive of files for the Acorn Electron, BBC Micro, Acorn Archimedes, Commodore 16 and Commodore 64 computers, which Dominic Ford has rescued from his private collection of floppy disks and cassettes.
Some of these files were originally commercial releases in the 1980s and 1990s, but they are now widely available online. I assume that copyright over them is no longer being asserted. If you own the copyright and would like files to be removed, please contact me.

Found in this directory are a few examples of encrypting files and programs,
these include;
'BASICFile' -A demonstration basic program
'TextFile' -A small !edit text file
'Neko' -A cute P.D. desktop cat
The password to all of these programs is:- 'Peter' Do not enter the Quotes,
and don't forget that the password is Case Sensitive.
Reminder :- Unlock and protector both need to have seen you !system/!srap
folder bfore they will work. Please read the !Help file found in he
application directory of both before using the programs.
N.B.
Please note that Neko is a public domain program, Protector and
Unlock are not, they are copyright to Archimedes World. I appoligise to the
authors if they do not like this inocent little Kitten being subject to
encryption! but it is P.D.
In the spirit of public domain I would like to remind readers that
if they are going to pass Neko onto their friends that it should be in an
original state, ie. not encrrypted, to do this simply use protector, drag
the application onto it and enter 'Peter' twice. Using unlock does not
revome the encryption, it merly runs the program.
