This website contains an archive of files for the Acorn Electron, BBC Micro, Acorn Archimedes, Commodore 16 and Commodore 64 computers, which Dominic Ford has rescued from his private collection of floppy disks and cassettes.
Some of these files were originally commercial releases in the 1980s and 1990s, but they are now widely available online. I assume that copyright over them is no longer being asserted. If you own the copyright and would like files to be removed, please contact me.

Mandelscape =========== This program is in the public domain and may be freely copied as long as no charges are made for it and no alterations/deletions are made to any of the files. Notes: To select the area of the Mandelbrot to zoom into, use left button/right button to select the size of the area. Move the mouse to select the part of the Mandelbrot to display. Press the middle button to display the new area. When clicking on the arrow icons: Left button : Change by 5 unit Middle button: Change by 2 units Right button : Change by 1 units An alternative method for changing bearing, elevation and height is to move the pointer over the landscape, and hold down the left mouse button. While holding down this button, moving the mouse left/right changes the bearing, moving it up/down changes the elevation, and the middle/right mouse buttons change the height. When saving a landscape picture, the program creates a sprite which is saved to the currently selected drive (note: this is not necessarily the drive which contains the Mandelscape program) The filenames for succesive saves will be 'Scape00', 'Scape01' etc. - the filename is reset to 'Scape00' each time the program is loaded.
