Purpose : Backdrop screen swapping.

Descripton :
����������
Before you run the program please copy it onto a blank disc as
!ArcFs is read only and you can not save the options.

Swapper is a program that lets you swap the backdrops quickly
end easily. Sorry but this program is only RiscOs 3 compateble.

Loading
�������

To load the program double click the !Swapper icon in the
normal way. The !Swapper icon should then appear on the icon
bar.

Icon Bar
��������

The menu from the icon bar provides the following functions:-

|Quit| - quit Swapper

If the select or adjust button on the mouse is pressed while
the pointer is over the !Swapper icon then the Main Swapper
window is displayed.

Main Window
�����������

The menu from the main window is as follows :-

|Clear | - Clear all sequence data.

Starting the Sequence
���������������������

To be able to start the sequence running you have to drop at
least two sprite files onto the main window or the !Swapper
icon. You are now able to click on the 'Start' icon.

The 'Start' icon then turns to a 'Stop' icon. This shows that
the sequence is running. To stop the sequence click on the
'Stop' icon, this then turns to a 'Start' icon.

Format of Sprite
����������������

At the top of the window there are three letters, C, T and S.
These stand for, Centred, Tiled and Scaled respectively. The
icons underneath these letters show what format the sprite will
be displayed in.

Set Time
��������

The 'Set time as first' icon sets all the times on that page
to the same as the first time.

Storage
�������

The 'Storage' icon when pressed brings up a window which you
can use for easy storage of your sprites.

Clear
�����

The 'Clear' icon when pressed clears all the swapper data.

Timer
�����

The timer window shows the current sprite that is being viewed
on the backdrop and the time that it has spent their. If the
'Reset' button is pressed then the time or that sprite is
reset to 0.

When the time for that sprite has elapsed the program will then
go onto the next sprite.

Viewing Sprites
���������������

If you wish to use !Swapper manually or you wish to jump to
a curtain sprite then you can click on the name of the sprite
in the main window. The icon will then dip in showing the
current sprite deing viewed.

Turning Pages

If there is enough sprites to spread over a couple of pages
then you can click on the two left and right arrows to move the
pages back and fore.

Saving
������

To save a file drag the save icon onto a filer window, or you
can just click on the 'Ok' button.

Only the first sprite in the sprite file is displayed.

Problems :
��������
There is only one problem that I found with this program is
that I could not find out how to remove the backdrop when you
quit. So I have designed a masked sprite which it places on
the backdrop to make it look as if their is not one. This has
become quite a good thing as you can put you own sprite called
blank in the data directory. This is good if you are using a
tiled backdrop off a curtomised desktop as you can return back
to your old backdrop.
