This website contains an archive of files for the Acorn Electron, BBC Micro, Acorn Archimedes, Commodore 16 and Commodore 64 computers, which Dominic Ford has rescued from his private collection of floppy disks and cassettes.
Some of these files were originally commercial releases in the 1980s and 1990s, but they are now widely available online. I assume that copyright over them is no longer being asserted. If you own the copyright and would like files to be removed, please contact me.

This program was written for Paul, 'cos he's a DTP freak who wants to be
able to position his pointer nice and accurately.

This program is copyright the author Michael J. Coe and may be distributed
at no cost (except that for the media and postage - Anything over �1.80 is
highly suspicious!!) so long as all the files remain intact and unaltered in
any way. The unaltered bit does not apply to the Config file, which stores
the users preferences. If anyone finds this program useful and wishes to
send me money then I most certainly will not object!
How to use Rat.
===============
Select on the icon toggles the mouse speed. (the icon is grey for fast and
red for slow) Clicking adjust on the icon brings up the configuation
dialogue box... Here the mousesteps for the fast and slow speeds can be set.
OK will set these as current, Save will save them to a config file on disc
and cancel will change nothing. If on loading Rat you get an error box
wondering what has happened to the config file, then go inside the
!Rat directory and double click on the ConfigGen BASIC program... This will
generate a config file to allow the program to load.
Also ctrl and left arrow will toggle the mouse speed providing that the
application with the input-focus doesn't use this key-combination for
something else.
