This website contains an archive of files for the Acorn Electron, BBC Micro, Acorn Archimedes, Commodore 16 and Commodore 64 computers, which Dominic Ford has rescued from his private collection of floppy disks and cassettes.
Some of these files were originally commercial releases in the 1980s and 1990s, but they are now widely available online. I assume that copyright over them is no longer being asserted. If you own the copyright and would like files to be removed, please contact me.

| HELP FILES |

If you have a copy of StrongHelp (by Guttorm Vik),
then to access the help, make sure that the Filer
has 'seen' '!StrongHlp', and then run the 'Install'
program here. Afterwards, you can delete the 'Help'
directory, as you will otherwise have two copies of
the help files. These help files are meant for
'on-line' usage, and assume that you understand how
to use RISC OS, and the simple terms of playing,
pausing and stopping samples. The best way of
learning is to experiment!
If you do not have a copy of StrongHelp, then fear
not! All the information is provided in text files
in the directory 'TextHelp'. Unfortunately, you will
miss out on the diagrams and screen snapshots.
A copy of StrongHelp can be found on the AU cover
disc for :
- October 1995, under CHelp.
- June 1996, under ClicBack�.
- Xmas 1996, under AppsClock.
(Look in !AppsClock.Help)
- Xmas 1997
(NB. this is v2.50, and has a separate
directory for the manuals. Wave Player
will recognise, and deal with this
automatically.)
The version of StrongHelp must be at least 2.02.
