!BasicProg/!Help

This website contains an archive of files for the Acorn Electron, BBC Micro, Acorn Archimedes, Commodore 16 and Commodore 64 computers, which Dominic Ford has rescued from his private collection of floppy disks and cassettes.

Some of these files were originally commercial releases in the 1980s and 1990s, but they are now widely available online. I assume that copyright over them is no longer being asserted. If you own the copyright and would like files to be removed, please contact me.

Back to Basics: Learning to Program in Basic
By Mark Moxon

Run this option to open a directory containing four example Basic programs from the third part of the series on learning to program in Basic.

Listing1 demonstrates three IF-THEN statements and their effects.

Listing2 demonstrates the IF-THEN-ENDIF construct. Enter a name (either Vivian or Kim) and M or F for male or female, and you will be told your hair colour.

For more information, see the article on page 101 in the magazine.
