!CONFIGURATION MENU!
THIS issue includes the Configuration Menu system that allows the reader
to change some of the options of the EUG Menu system to suit themselves.
Namely, these options are:
A) Change the key that returns to the Main Menu (<R>/<DELETE>),
B) change the background colour,
C) change the foreground colour,
D) set Mode that text files (such as this) are displayed in (3/6),
E) set printer options on text files (no. of lines to each page), and
F) set perforation skip line (no. of lines to skip).
All the options are displayed on screen when the Z key is pressed on any
menu. You can then manipulate them by simply pressing the appropriate
key to 'cycle'. A final option, G, will save the options to disk [Make
sure to write-enable your disk! - Ed] and they will then be automatical-
ly loaded by the MENU program each time it is accessed.
Routines to print the whole of the magazine have been incorporated
into the code and options E and F allow you to set the number of lines
that 'fit' on one page of the paper in your printer. You can discover
this by printing a page of text and counting the lines. Option E will
allow you to cycle anything from 40 to 80 lines on a page. Option F will
allow you to skip between 1 and 15 lines each time the number of lines
in E has been printed. This is useful for skipping the perforations if
you are using continous feed printer paper.
You can print out all the text files in EUG by tapping O on any other
menu. This is the ONLY time these options are utilised. If you view a
single text file and type P to print, the values in E and F are NOT
called - the text is sent directly to the printer.
Note that during the Configuration Menu, the key that returns to the
Main Menu does not function. If you decide not to save the changes you
make to the Menu system, select G and you will be asked "Are You Sure?".
Any key apart from Y here will return you to the Main Menu without
change.
