This website contains an archive of files for the Acorn Electron, BBC Micro, Acorn Archimedes, Commodore 16 and Commodore 64 computers, which Dominic Ford has rescued from his private collection of floppy disks and cassettes.
Some of these files were originally commercial releases in the 1980s and 1990s, but they are now widely available online. I assume that copyright over them is no longer being asserted. If you own the copyright and would like files to be removed, please contact me.

Scribe: The Acorn User OCR Application By Robin Barnes Scribe is a complete OCR package, which can be taught to convert any fonts from given scans. Run this option to open up a directory containing the Scribe application, the example scanned sprite Book1, and a text file called learnchr which contains a character sequence for teaching the OCR system to recognise new fonts. The default network file, saved inside the Scribe application, is for Times Roman/Trinity fonts, so the system will work on the Book1 example straight away.
