This website contains an archive of files for the Acorn Electron, BBC Micro, Acorn Archimedes, Commodore 16 and Commodore 64 computers, which Dominic Ford has rescued from his private collection of floppy disks and cassettes.
Some of these files were originally commercial releases in the 1980s and 1990s, but they are now widely available online. I assume that copyright over them is no longer being asserted. If you own the copyright and would like files to be removed, please contact me.

An Application for Archimedes users with PC cards, PC Emulators or RISC PCs
with PC cards. It assumes that DOS partitions have been created on the Acorn
hard disk system or your computer can read DOS formatted floppy disks.
Run this application to generate a set of RISC OS sprites which correspond
to DOS file extensions.
DOS file extensions are mapped to RISC OS file types via the DOSMAP
statements in the !RUN file. These statements are in alphabetical order of
the DOS file extensions. A set of Sprites have been included in the
!Sprites file, which correspond to the RISC OS file types. The individual
Sprites are listed in descending numerical order. Sprites for file Types
&FFD to &405 have been extracted from the Acorn User CD ROM and Public
Domain software. Sprites for file types &0FF to &0BD have been either
generated by hand or extracted from Windows Icons.
The file "Icons" is an Impression document, which includes copies of the
RISC OS Sprites, the sprite name, the DOS extensions and a description of the
DOS file purpose, where known.
The text file "Icont" is an Edit file containing exactly the same text as the
Impression file, but without copies of the RISC OS Sprites.
