Now the help:
The program is a revamped version of the Biorhythms program which came on
the Acorn Electron intorductory cassette, which did simply plotted a graph,
you could not save it or even print it.
This is where this new program steps in. It is a fully multitasking program
which will take in a birth date and draw a biorhytm for the a specified
date. The plot can then be saved as a Draw file, a CSV file or an Advance
file. You can also print the plot using the standard RISC OS printer
drivers.
The opperation is fairly simple, and if you get stuck you will beable to use
the interactive help with an application such as !Help.
History:
I cannot quite remember the history of the program, however here are some
things that happened:
mid '95: Main program compleated. Only saved as CSV or advance graph.
mid '95: Found how to save as draw file from Acorn Web site.
mid '95: Asked maths teachers at school what a bezier curve was and how I
could show a sine wave with one - non of them knew!
summer '95: Found out how to do ram transfers, found some problems with
!Advance too, but only after sleepless nights of 'WHAT IS GOING
WRONG!' (It doesn't Ram Transfer properly- I hope)
Autum '95: Pestered maths techers a bit more. They still didn't have a
clue. One said it may be a locus curve.
Autum '95: William Howard School Young Enterprise company, Epsilon is set
up, generouse Finance Director (me) gives over copyright to
Epsilon. Epsilon try to market it and other programmes as
Freeware. No money turned up.
Spring '95: Copyright reverts back to me. I send it to Star info.
I still havn't found how to make a sine wave with a bezier curve, if anyone
knows how the stupid things work could you please tell me, as it would
make the program much more efficient.
