!VarEdit/!Help/ReadMe
This website contains an archive of files for the Acorn Electron, BBC Micro, Acorn Archimedes, Commodore 16 and Commodore 64 computers, which Dominic Ford has rescued from his private collection of floppy disks and cassettes.
Some of these files were originally commercial releases in the 1980s and 1990s, but they are now widely available online. I assume that copyright over them is no longer being asserted. If you own the copyright and would like files to be removed, please contact me.

ReadMe file for !VarEdit
v1.02
VarEdit is a Editor for System Variables.
When run, it will put its icon on the iconbar. If you click
on it, a window will open, containing all system variables.
If you click on one (its name or its contents), VarEdit will
open a edit window. Here you can edit the variables name and
the variables contents. You can than create the variable as
String, Number or Macro. It is also possible to delete a
variable.
Whenever you click MENU over one of the VarEdit windows, or
when over the icon on the iconbar, a window will pop up
containing the usual Info and Quit option. Next to this
there is a New option (it open bring an empty Variable Edit
window), and a Selection option. The Selection entry has a
submenu attached to it. Here you can enter a (wildcarded)
selection string which determines which variables will be
displayed. As a default, it will contain a '*', meaning all
variables will show up.
